One of the hottest topics of the wrestling social media community right now is whether the RAW Women's Championship will feature just a one-on-one shot of Becky Lynch against Champion "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey or if it will be a triple-threat match that includes Charlotte Flair. Rumors have made the rounds recently that Vince McMahon has settled on it being just Lynch versus Rousey. Those rumors appear to be false, according to Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer.
Meltzer said, “I know that there’s been stuff going around that it’s Ronda Rousey against Becky Lynch in a singles match at WrestleMania. You can never say that Vince won’t change his mind but this one is pretty much a lock at this point that [the Triple Threat Match is] gonna happen.”
Meltzer pointed out that they are calling both the Universal Championship match and the Raw Women’s Championship match the main event but although there are rumors in the company suggesting that the women will close out the show, that decision has not been made.
Meltzer added, “They’re gonna call both [matches] main events. I’m presuming that the women’s match will be last but it’s Vince and I’ll also presume that the decision won’t be made until the week of the show because that’s usually when they make those decisions. Even though Becky said main event, that’s not a lock that they’re going on last, just yet.” (h/t WrestlingNews transcription)
