WWE is now less than one week away from putting on their 1000th episode of SmackDown. The blue brand has been going strong ever since it launched in 1999, and the company is loading up next week's program with plenty of huge matches and guest stars. The company has already announced that the Evolution faction will be appearing during SmackDown 1000, and names such as Theodore Long, Michelle McCool, and The Undertaker will be featured as well. Rey Mysterio will also be returning to face Shinsuke Nakamura in his first match back as a full time WWE Superstar on SmackDown 1000. Two more incredibly influential names who have helped turn SmackDown into what it is today are now booked to appear.

The company has just announced that WWE Hall of Famer Edge will be on the upcoming episode of SmackDown. The former world champion will be hosting his Cutting Edge talk show, but there is no word on who his guest for the show will be right now. It was also reported yesterday that longtime WWE Superstar Kane would be appearing on SmackDown 1000 next week, but WWE has now confirmed that the "Big Red Machine" will indeed be arriving on the show. Now that both Kane and The Undertaker will be appearing on next week's historic SmackDown show, it is possible that the buildup towards the duo's upcoming tag team match against DX at the Crown Jewel event could continue on that show.

Nikki and Brie Bella are back on WWE programming for the time being, and it appears that the sisters are now officially members of the Raw brand. The Bella Twins have primarily been wrestling on Raw ever since they made their in-ring returns earlier this year, but WWE.com has only just now added them to the Raw roster section. Brie Bella's status in the company had been undetermined as she did make a few appearances on SmackDown to buildup her tag team match with Daniel Bryan against The Miz and Maryse at Hell in a Cell a few weeks back. Meanwhile, Nikki had been featured as a member of the SmackDown roster. Expect to see the duo compete exclusively on the Raw brand going forward.
