This year's panel at the San Diego Comic Con for WWE was dedicated to the Elite Squad that was launched by Mattel earlier this year. Zack Ryder, Curt Hawkins, AJ Styles, "Woken" Matt Hardy, and top designers from Mattel were on hand to unveil the latest editions to the Elite line.

New female Elite action figures include new versions of Paige, as well as debut Elites for Ruby Riott, Nia Jax, and Liv Morgan.

AJ Styles and Finn Balor will also be receiving some new Elite figures that look to be based off of their appearances from WrestleMania 34 earlier this year.

Renderings of new Shinsuke Nakamura and Seth Rollins Elites were also shown during the panel, as was an updated Elite figure of Daniel Bryan that will be based off of his return to the ring earlier this year.

Although Luke Harper and Erick Rowan have receive Elite figures based on their Wyatt Family days, the next set of Elite figures for the duo will be based on their current incarnation as The Bludgeon Brothers.

An extremely early prototype of Bobby Lashley's debut Mattel Elite figure was shown as well, and it looks like it will include a removable hat and headband.

Also new to the Elite series will be Shelton Benjamin and Curt Hawkins. Mattel will be including special "chase figures" for these two WWE Superstars, which means that fans will have two choices for which figure they want to purchase. Hawkins' Elite figure can either be bought in blue or black ring gear, and as for Shelton, fans can either display a current version of the former Intercontinental Champion, or they could buy a "Flashback" Benjamin Elite that is based off of his old "Gold Standard" persona.

On the subject of "Flashbacks," Mattel worked hard to satisfy fans and collectors of past WWE Superstars. In addition to new editions of The Undertaker and Dusty Rhodes, several WWE Legends and Hall of Famers are set to receive their first Mattel action figures over the next few months, including Bob Backlund, Sensational Sherri, King Mabel, and Pat Patterson.

Basic figures coming out over the next few months include updated versions of Kurt Angle, Bayley, Kofi Kingston, Randy Orton, and The Miz. No word on which series they will be in or on a possible release date for these figures at the moment.

Be sure to check back here all weekend long for all of the latest updates from WWE and Mattel as they take over San Diego Comic Con!
