Ronda Rousey

Comic Con is back again, and WWE Superstars joined officials from Mattel during a panel at the convention yesterday to show off some of their brand new products that they will be releasing, and the toy company did not disappoint.

Case in point, just six months after making her WWE debut, Ronda Rousey's first official action figure has just been shown off. A computer rendering of the image was displayed during the panel yesterday, and it appears to be based off of her official debut at the Royal Rumble earlier this year. It will be included in the Basic lineup of action figures, and it was mentioned during the panel that the targeted release date for Rousey's debut WWE figure is November of this year.

Plenty of other Basic figures were shown off during the panel as well, including some members of the roster who have never had an action figure before. 205 Live's Drew Gulak will be receiving his first WWE figure as part of an upcoming basic figure series, as will Smackdown roster members Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose. No timeline or exact series for the new figures was provided, but they are definitely expected to be released in stores by the end of the year.

Other additions to the basic line include a new figure based on WWE Hall of Famer "Macho Man" Randy Savage, and a new edition of Daniel Bryan based on his recent return to the ring after being disqualified from competing for the past three years.

A few other interesting action figures that were revealed include a special Basic figure of Sasha Banks expertly recreated from her appearance in the first-ever women's Royal Rumble match earlier this year.

Although she is no longer undefeated in singles competition, Asuka is still a dominant performer with a tremendous amount of detail in her ring gear. That is why Mattel has just unveiled a fantastic new Elite Asuka figure based off of her appearance at WrestleMania 34 this year. Mattel went all out on this one as it includes accurate ring gear, a removable kimono, a removable crown, and three of her masks! The new Elite figure is expected to be released close to next year's WrestleMania in April of 2019.

Let's not forget about the RetroFest Elite figures that Mattel introduced a while back. These figures honor legends and Hall of Famers from the past with very special action figures based on their careers and appearances in classic WWE video games. A fantastic new Elite figure of The Honky Tonk Man will be coming out just before the next "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan Elite. The RetroFest figures will be coming to GameStop later this year.

Be sure to check back here all weekend long for all of the latest updates from WWE and Mattel as they take over San Diego Comic Con!
