It is that time of the year once again, folks! San Diego Comic Con has returned, and WWE is currently in town with the top toy designers from Mattel to reveal some brand new action figures based on current and past WWE Superstars. It all kicked off with a special Preview Night this past Wednesday that displayed some fun new additions to Mattel's line of WWE action figures. First off, exclusive M.U.S.C.L.E figurines were displayed during the first night of the convention. Individual packs of figures include editions of WWE Legends such as Randy Savage, Roddy Piper, and Ric Flair. A photo of these neat little blasts from the past sitting on display at the Mattel booth can be viewed right down below:

Of course, there were plenty of the popular Retro figures displayed during Preview Night as well. These smaller figures are beloved due to their resemblance of the classic figures that were once made by Hasbro, and they also feature new figures of current and past WWE Superstars. New Retros that will be rolled out over the next few months include WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle, Sheamus, Kurt Angle, and Chris Jericho. There is also a ring that has been created specifically for the Retro figures, and although there is no word on when this next set of figures will be released, they have proven to be a bit high with collectors and fans ever since the line was announced during Comic Con a few years back.

Last year's Comic Con panel saw Mattel and WWE announce the launch of the WWE Superstars line, which is somewhat similar to Mattel's classic Barbie doll line. Female members of the WWE roster have been replicated as dolls, but new additions will include Bayley, Carmella, Asuka, Naomi, and Alexa Bliss, but perhaps the crowning jewel of the next set of WWE Superstar dolls is the first-ever doll of Ronda Rousey.

Earlier this year, Mattel showed off great new Elite figures of New Day members Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods decked out in red, white and blue patriotic ring gear. A matching Big E Elite figure has just been revealed to complete the revamped New Day Elite set.

Be sure to check back here all weekend long for all of the latest updates from WWE and Mattel as they take over San Diego Comic Con!
