Impact Wrestling Results (07/05): Kross, Konnan's Attacker, LAX

On last week's show, Tessa Blanchard had a challenge for Madison Rayne and ended up losing in the main event, Rich Swann enjoyed a successful debut match against Trevor Lee, Desi Hit Squad were victorious in tag team action and Matt Sydal defeated Dezmond Xavier. Let's get right into the action for this week's show.

Rich Swann vs Fenix: Swann and Fenix go through a sequence where they both do the same moves at the same time over and over again. The exchange ends in a stalemate. Fenix dropkicks Swann. Fenix sends Swann to the outside. After another series of counters on the floor Swann hits a front flip senton off the top rope onto Fenix. Swann puts Fenix in the tree of woe. Fenix pops up to the top rope and hits an insane moonsault. Swann rolls to the outside. Fenix goes for a moonsault but Swann rolls out of the way. Fenix does a back role as Swann gets to his feet and hits a cutter. Fenix tries a handspring cutter but Swann does a handstand to avoid it. Both Fenix and Swann go for handsprings and end up neck-breakering each other in the process. After the break, Fenix and Swann are taking turns chopping each other. Fenix hits a feint enziguri. Swann responds with a head kick of his own. Fisherman bomb by Swann for a near fall. Second rope 450 splash by Swann. Fenix kicks out. Fenix takes Swann off the top with a popup top rope hurricanrana. Fenix hits the Fire Thunder Driver, but Swann kicks out. Fenix drops Swann with a muscle driver for the win. Winner: Fenix

After the match, oVe hits the ring and attacks Fenix. Jake is about to rip off Fenix’s mask. Pentagon Jr. hits the ring and makes the save. As Fenix and Pentagon Jr. pose in the ring, Pentagon Jr. kicks Fenix in the nuts and hits the package piledriver. Pentagon Jr. takes off his mask and its Sami Callihan. Swann tries to help Fenix but is quickly taken out. Callihan is about to rip off Fenix’s mask but the real Pentagon Jr. hits the ring. Pentagon Jr. hits a huge dive onto Callihan and oVe.

We head backstage where Madison Rayne says that there are a lot of unknowns when it comes to Su Yung. Rayne then says that she is happy to have Allie by her side as she walks through the darkness. Allie then says that Rosemary warned her not to get caught up in the darkness. Allie then says that Yung thinks she has killed her but she really just opened up a new side of her.

Killer Kross vs Fallah Bahh (w/ KM): Bahh tries to run through Kross but Kross doesn’t move. Kross sends Bahh into the corner and lands a few strikes. Bahh splashes Kross in the corner. Kross explodes out of the corner and levels Bahh with a clothesline. Bahh tries to fire up with chops but Kross once again shrugs it off. Kross tells Bahh to hit him. Bahh unloads but it has no effect on Kross. Kross sends Bahh flying with a Saito suplex. Kross puts Bahh to sleep with a modified rear naked choke. Winner: Killer Kross

After the match, Kross continues to beat down Bahh. KM tries to make the save but Kross puts him to sleep. Petey Williams hits the ring and blasts Kross with a chair. It has no effect. Williams hits Kross again. Still no effect. Williams launches the chair into Kross’ face. Kross falls to the outside but lands on his feet. Kross slowly walks away.

We head backstage where Jimmy Jacobs says that he isn’t a bad guy. Jacobs also says that from day one he has told us that Kongo Kong is the Monster and that Brian Cage is a bad guy. Jacobs also says that Cage lies to everyone when he calls himself  “the Machine”. Jacobs then says that Cage is just a man and he is a Princess which means that he always gets what he wants.

We head to another area backstage where Gama Singh berates The Desi Hit Squad for celebrating their victory last week. Gama then tells them both that they must listen to him and that they will be the next tag team champions.

Su Yung & The Undead Maid of Honor vs Allie & Madison Rayne: Rayne & Allie hit the ring and attack Yung & The Undead Maid of Honor. Duel sliding clotheslines by Rayne and Allie. Allie unloads on The MoH with chop after chop. Side Canadian leg sweep by Allie. The MoH kicks out. After a distraction by Yung, The MoH and Yung hit a back breaker/neck breaker combo for a near fall. Yung tags in and sends Allie flying with a hair toss. Allie surprises Yung with a flying clothesline. Allie crawls and tags in Rayne. Rayne unleashes forearm after forearm on The MoH. Rayne lands Chance of Rayne. Rayne hits Cross Rayne. The referee is down after getting hit with an inadvertent boot. Tessa Blanchard runs in and attacks Rayne. Allie tosses Blanchard out of the ring and sends her into the barricade. Rayne hits Cross Rayne on The MoH for the win. Winners: Allie & Madison Rayne

We head backstage where Santana and Ortiz tells King to take it easy on Konnan. King then says that there isn't any proof and that Konnan disrespected him when he didn’t shake King’s hand. King then says that he wants to see this magical proof Konnan has. King then says that Konnan is done and that there are snakes everywhere. King then says that Konnan is hating on King because he came in and made Santana and Ortiz better. King then says that let’s go to the ring to see this proof. King storms off.

A training video is shown in which Gama berates and tortures The Desi Hit Squad.

We head backstage where oVe and Callihan makes fun of masked wrestlers. Callihan says that Pentagon Jr. could have stayed out of their way but Pentagon Jr. had to get involved. Callihan then says that next week they are going to take Pentagon’s masks, Fenix’s mask, and Swann entire face. Callihan then says that he is taking everything.

During a taped segment Austin Aries says that he is here because not because he failed at his first career like Moose did. Wrestling isn’t Aries dream, it is what he was born to do. Aries then tells the story of his rise to prominence as someone who actually had to work to get where he is. Moose had the red carpet rolled out for him. Aries then says that he doesn’t care how big Moose is or how hard he trains. Moose will never match up to Aries mentally. When Aries is done with Moose, maybe Moose will get lucky and the XFL can use him as a sh*tty offensive lineman.

We head backstage where Konnan is on the phone saying that he has proof that King is a snake. After Konnan spills the tea, it’s going to be on between him and King.

After getting bloodied by Eddie Edwards, Tommy Dreamer says that Edwards has it all and is throwing his career away. Dreamer also says that he doesn’t want to go home beaten and bloody. Dreamer then says that Edwards thinks he is f’n Edwards wife. Dreamer then says that Edwards wife is 25 years old. Have you seen what Dreamer looks like? Dreamer then says that no one makes him bleed his own blood on his show. Nobody!

Rebel vs Katarina (w/ Grado): Katarina takes down Rebel. Rebel flips out of a side headlock. Katarina takes Rebel over with a flying head scissors. Rebel drops Katarina with an inverted version of wasteland. Katarina kicks out. Rebel misses a handspring elbow. Katarina sorta lands a diving tornado DDT. Katarina goes up top. Katarina misses a splash off the top. Rebel gets a near fall after a split leg drop. Katarina surprises Rebel with a choke breaker for the win. Winner: Katarina

We head backstage where Katarina tells Grado that she has a surprise. Joe Hendry walks in and sings Grado a song. Grado is thrilled. Grado asks how they know each other. Hendry says that he and Katarina go way back. Grado starts a group hug.

Brian Cage vs Kongo Kong (w/ Jimmy Jacobs): Kong won’t go down. Cage hits a dropkick, followed by a hurricanrana. Kong rolls out of the ring. Cage dives clear over the top rope and hits a rolling senton. Back in the ring, Kong manages to belly-to-belly suplex Cage. Cage kicks out. Kong goes for the corner 10 punches. Cage lifts Kong up for a power bomb, Kong turns it into a hurricanrana for a near fall. Superkick by Cage. Kong hits the ropes for a splash but Cage catches Kong in the air. Cage drops Kong with a body slam. Cage lands a few clotheslines. Cage trips Kong into the ropes. 619 by Cage. Cage German Suplexes Kong. Kong headbutts Cage. Kong chokeslams Cage out of his boots. Cage manages to kick out. Kong goes up top. Cage cuts Kong off. Cage goes up top with Kong. Top rope superplex by Cage. Cage hits a an F5 on Kong. It’s over! Winner: Brian Cage

Main Event In Ring Segment with Konnan & LAX: Konnan says that they need to clear the air. Konnan asks King to come to the ring. LAX and King join Konnan in the ring. King tells Konnan to go ahead. Konnan says that he isn’t so mad that King put a hit out on him. Konnan list all of the ways he has helped King over the years. King says that he doesn’t know what Konnan has been smoking lately but where is his proof. Konnan says that the calls that King were making to Konnan for orders never actually happened. King says that it’s Konnan’s word against his. Konnan says that King is nothing about a glory hole. King then says you know what? Konnan is right. King admits to putting the hit out. King tells Konnan to walk away before Konnan gets shot in the back of the head like Old Yeller. Santana and Ortiz square up on King. King tries to convince them to he made the right call. Ortiz and Santana give King the finger. Homicide and Hernandez attack Santana and Ortiz from behind. The Original LAX and King stand tall after the beat-down. Impact Wrestling goes off the air.
