Dean Ambrose

Dean Ambrose has been on the shelf with a triceps injury over the past few months and the former WWE Champion has maintained a low profile ever since. Recent reports have suggested that he has been visiting Birmingham, Alabama to have his injury further examined by doctors, but Ambrose has not been seen publicly for quite some time. In fact, WWE even pulled him from his autograph sessions during WrestleMania weekend. Howeved, Ambrose was recently spotted with his wife Renee Young during the Stanley Cup Finals in Las Vegas. He appears to have received a haircut during his time away from the ring. Snapshots of Ambrose taken by fans have been uploaded to social media.

NXT Superstar Nixon Newell has returned to the ring after missing several months of action due to an injury. Newell has mostly been competing on the NXT live event circuit, but it looks like the young European wrestler will be returning to her old stomping grounds very soon. PROGRESS Wrestling has just announced that Jinny will be putting her PROGRESS Women's Championship on the line against the NXT Superstar. Jinny and Newell will do battle at the PROGRESS Wrestling Chapter 71: Feeling Called Progress event next Sunday in Sheffield, England. Talent exchanges between WWE's NXT brand and PROGRESS have been common as of late with Kassius Ohno competing for PROGRESS just a few weeks ago.

A huge match between WWE's Four Horsewomen (Bayley, Sasha Banks, Charlotte Flair, and Becky Lynch) and the Four Horsewomen of MMA (Ronda Rousey, Shayna Baszler, Jessamyn Duke, and Marina Shafir) was teased during the Mae Young Classic tournament last year. Now that Rousey, Duke, Baszler, and Shafir are officially working for WWE, fans have been wondering if this means that the match will finally be taking place soon. According to Wrestling Observer Live's Bryan Alvarez, WWE has resumed having discussions about the match and does plan on having it take place eventually. The match could reportedly happen at Survivor Series this November, but that is the earliest scenario.
