The NBC Upfronts took place earlier today, and the event had a huge WWE representation. Several members of the WWE roster were in attendance, but one WWE Legend also made a small appearance. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson made an appearance, via a video, to introduce his newest series. A promotional video for his competition show The Titan Games premiered during the Upfronts. The series is currently in the process of casting participants for the show with filming set to begin in September. Johnson remains one of the most successful and prolific entertainers in the world today, and fans can look forward to seeing his latest endeavor premiere on NBC in January of 2019.

A batch of new athletes are reportedly all on their way to the WWE Performance Center. As reported yesterday, former rugby player Daniel Vidot in on his way into WWE very soon, but a few more names have just been signed by WWE. According to Casey Michael of Squared Circle Sirens, the next Performance Center class is expected to include Vidot, fellow rugby player Luke Menzies, Garza Jr., independent wrestling standout Keith Lee, and possibly Joe Coffey. As far as Joe Coffey is concerned, it was noted that he may work the United Kingdom Championship Tournament and join WWE's UK division rather than report to Orlando with the rest of these rumored names.

New Japan Pro Wrestling has been providing some of the most unique and dynamic professional wrestling available for decades now, but the promotion has become immensely popular in North America over the past few months. It appears that NJPW will continue their growth under brand new leadership. According to a report from Tokyo Sports, Harold Meij has officially been hired to serve as the new President of New Japan. Meij will be taking over the role from NJPW's current President Katsuhiko Harada. Meij worked as the CEO for Japanese toy company TOMY before being hired by NJPW. Hopefully the promotion will continue to expand worldwide under Meij's guidance.
