Ex-World Wrestling Entertainment stars Stevie Richards and Simon Grimm to appear alongside Western New York’s top independent talent
Empire State Wrestling (ESW) will return to the St. Johnsburg Fire Hall, at 7165 Ward Road, North Tonawanda, NY, and present “Brawlfest” on Saturday, May 19. Front row tickets are sold out. Second row tickets are $20 and general admission tickets are $15. Ticket prices increase $5 at the door. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. and the action starts at 6:00 p.m.
The following wrestlers are scheduled to appear at "Brawlfest":
Former World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) stars Stevie Richards and Simon Grimm. Buffalo, N.Y.'s Brandon Thurston will face Gotch, and Richards will take on Bill Collier
Impact Wrestling's Jimmy Jacobs will face ESW Interstate Champion Anthony Gaines
ESW Heavyweight Champion Kevin Bennett against ex-Impact Wrestling star Braxton Sutter
Ex-Impact Wrestling Star Petey Williams will square off against Albion, N.Y.'s Kevin Blackwood
Oliver Street Express will defend the ESW Tag Team Championships in a four-way tag match against Game Over, North America's Most Wanted and High Seas
The Fraternity will face To Infinity & Beyond, plus appearances by ESW fan favorites such as Puf, Frankie Feathers and several more
ESW promotes eight shows a year, primarily held at the St. Johnsburg Fire Hall in North Tonawanda, N.Y., boasting crowds of over 400 fans. Larger “super show” events have been held at the Kenan Center in Lockport, N.Y. and the Frontier Fire Hall in Niagara Falls, N.Y., drawing crowds up to 1,000.
As Western New York’s premier independent professional wrestling promotion, ESW over the years has hosted many of pro wrestling’s top up-and-comers and biggest legends. Current World Wrestling Entertainment stars Kevin Owens, Luke Harper, Matt Hardy, Goldust, Rhyno, Jinder Mahal, Curt Hawkins, Cedric Alexander and Tony Nese have appeared in ESW’s ring. Pro wrestling legends Kevin Nash, Brutus Beefcake, Billy Gunn, X-Pac, The Honky Tonk Man, Jim Duggan, Demolition, Raven, The Sandman, Tommy Dreamer and several others have appeared at ESW events.
Founded in 2002, ESW is run by Brett Stymus. Over half of ESW’s performers reside in the Western New York area.
