The Miz Moving to Smackdown, Lesnar's Return Date, Impact UK News
Tuesday, April 17, 2018
One of the most valuable players on Monday Night Raw has just been traded to Smackdown. It was announced during last night's Superstar Shakeup edition of Raw that former Intercontinental Champion The Miz will be moving to Smackdown as per the request of former Smackdown General Manager Daniel Bryan. It was also confirmed that the associates of The Miz, Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel, will be staying on Raw. The Miz was later defeated by Braun Strowman as part of a ten-man tag team main event after his Miztourage partners left him all alone in the ring. With nobody by his side and with nowhere left to run, The Miz will have to encounter the recently-cleared Daniel Bryan tonight on Smackdown.
WWE recently announced that Brock Lesnar has signed a new contract which will see him stay with the company for an unspecified amount of time. It was truly shocking when "The Beast Incarnate" managed to retain his Universal Championship over Roman Reigns at WrestleMania, but the part-time superstar will be facing Reigns again in a Steel Cage Match at the Greatest Royal Rumble event on April 27th. Lesnar has not made any appearances on WWE programming ever since he won his match at WrestleMania, but the company announced during Raw last night that both Lesnar and Paul Heyman will be returning to Monday Night Raw next week right before they do battle in Saudi Arabia.
Impact Wrestling has continued to entertain fans for years on Pop TV in the United States, but the status of the program has been speculated on for a while over in the United Kingdom. Interestingly, PWInsider just noted that Impact may be leaving it's current Spike UK network very soon. The network has been broadcasting episodes of Impact for a year now, but the show is reportedly no longer scheduled to air anywhere in the country going forward. The report mentions that the promotion is currently negotiating with the network to continue broadcasting new episode of Impact on Spike UK, but negotiations have been delayed. Despite this, Impact officials believe that a new deal will be reached very soon.
