The Rock

Reports claim that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson had been scheduled to appear at WrestleMania 34, but he had to miss the show due to scheduling conflicts. This makes sense as the actor's prolific work in Holywood is going stronger than ever before. He just announced that he will produce a brand new series for the BET network, and one day later, Johnson's newest film was released. The former WWE Champion stars in Rampage, an action film based on the arcade game from the 1980's of the same name. When several animals are infected with a dangerous pathogen, Johnson will have no choice but to prevent them from destroying Chicago. The film is in theaters now and a trailer can be viewed down below:

A ton of fans of WWE and MMA were very interested to see Ronda Rousey officially transition from the octagon to the ring at WrestleMania. Rousey did not disappoint in her professional wrestling in-ring debut as she managed to take out both Triple H and Stephanie McMahon during the event, and she also secured a win after McMahon tapped out to her armbar. Although Rousey did appear on Monday Night Raw the very next day, fans probably should not get used to seeing Rousey competing regularly in WWE. Cageside Seats says that Rousey will be used by the company as a special attraction and, despite what had previously been reported, will not be appearing on television full time for WWE.

Perhaps one of the most disappointing releases came late last year when WWE announced that Emma had been let go from the company. A huge outpouring of support for the young Australian wrestler came from fans and wrestlers alike after the news of her release broke, and she was motivated to continue her wrestling career somewhere else. Emma (now known as Tenille Dashwood) will likely be reporting to Ring of Honor. During an interview on CBS Local Sports in New York, Dashwood revealed that she is currently working with ROH on a short-term deal. She also stated that both sides are presently negotiating a new long-term deal what will see Dashwood continue to compete in ROH.
