Rich Swann To Work Indy Shows On WrestleMania Weekend

Rich Swann

When a Superstar is released from WWE, that normally means they can’t wrestle for any other promotion for 90 days. This 90-day no-compete clause is pretty much standard anymore and applies in most occasions.

But it turns out newly released Superstar Rich Swann isn’t under the same restrictions because he’s able to get right back into the indie wrestling scene as soon as he likes.

“Rich Swann is gonna be doing a bunch of indies from mid-march on so he didn’t have a 90-day no compete as usual because he’s gonna be starting in a couple weeks,” Dave Meltzer said on Wrestling Observer Radio.

This seemed to work out as well as it could for Swann and hopefully, he’ll have a smooth transition back to the indies. Swann might have been released on his 27th birthday which isn’t the best gift at all, but WWE firing him like they did where they just wanted to cut ties from the former Cruiserweight Champion allows him to forget about the 90-day no-compete clause. So Swann has been able to book himself on some shows during WrestleMania weekend as well as the House Of Hardcore event on March 23rd.
