Update on Triple H's Return, Latest on a Bayley Turn, NXT Injury
Monday, February 12, 2018
Triple H does not compete in the ring very often these days, instead opting to work behind the scenes. However, "The Game" always returns to work a match at WrestleMania each year, so now is the time to expect to see him back on Raw. According to Cageside Seats, most of the WrestleMania buildup is not expected to take place until after the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view. The belief is that Triple H will be returning on Raw the night after the event to set up his match for WrestleMania. Triple H's feud for WrestleMania has not been determined as of yet, but rumors of him facing either Kurt Angle or teaming up with Stephanie McMahon to face Ronda Rousey and a partner of her choosing.
Sasha Banks and Bayley have continued to tease a feud between each other over the past few days. A rivalry between the two best friends now seems inevitable, but who will be the one to turn heel for the feud? As previously reported, Bayley is scheduled to team up with Elias at future live events. Even though they are partners in the Mixed Match Challenge, this has led some to believe that she will be the one to turn to the dark side and not Sasha Banks. Similarly, Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer that this is likely the direction that the company is headed in with Bayley. The buildup to a feud between Banks and Bayley will likely continue on tonight's episode of Raw.
Several WWE Superstars have been going down with injuries lately. Dean Ambrose, Jeff Hardy, and Samoa Joe are among those names, and an injury to NXT Superstar Lars Sullivan reportedly cost him the chance to main event Takeover: New Orleans against Andrade "Cien" Almas for the NXT Championship. It looks like another NXT star known as Chad Lail (formerly Gunner in Impact Wrestling) has suffered a gruesome injury as well now. He took to Instagram to show fans that his pinky finger was literally bent during his match against Boa at an NXT live event in Daytona Beach, Florida. Feel free to check out the image of his injury posted below, but be aware that is certainly not pretty...
