WrestleMania 36 Odds: Lesnar, Goldberg Both Underdogs

by OddsShark (@OddsShark) – Sponsored Post

It will take more than a coronavirus pandemic to put the brakes on WrestleMania 36. With the COVID-19 outbreak far from under control, the WWE will be forced to stage this year’s “Show of Shows” without fans in attendance. But the WWE has turned the forced move from Tampa Bay’s Raymond James Stadium into a creative opportunity, and will now stage WrestleMania 36 over two nights in multiple cities on Saturday, April 4 and Sunday, April 5.

And while the venue has changed the card remains intact, with the main event featuring a battle for the WWE Championship as reigning champion Brock Lesnar takes on Drew McIntyre as a +250 underdog on the WrestleMania 36 odds at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.

Lesnar has held the title since defeating Kofi Kingston just seven seconds into their clash on WWE Friday Night Smackdown back in October. “The Beast Incarnate” has successfully defended his belt on three occasions, with his most recent win coming against Ricochet at last month’s WWE Super ShowDown in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

However, after McIntryre tossed the champion from the WWE Royal Rumble 2020, he earned the right to pick which belt he would battle for at WrestleMania, setting the stage for him to take on Lesnar as a -400 favourite at sports betting sites.

This will mark the third time these WWE superstars have met in the ring. McIntyre was one of seven opponents that Lesnar defeated on his way to victory in last May’s Money in the Bank Ladder. However, McIntyre has been dominant in recent outings, claiming victory in 28 of his past 29 ring appearances.

Elsewhere on the WrestleMania 36 odds, Goldberg puts his WWE Universal title on the line against Roman Reigns as a +550 underdog. Goldberg claimed the title with a shocking victory over The Fiend in Riyadh, but has a checkered history in title defense matchups. That includes the last time he held the WWE Universal belt three years ago and fell to Lesnar in his first title defense.

Pegged as a heavy -1000 favorite to extend Goldberg’s struggles to hang on to a belt, Reigns will be eager to reclaim the WWE Universal title he took from Lesnar at WWE SummerSlam 2018 but was subsequently forced to relinquish after being diagnosed with leukemia in October 2018.

As well, yet another champion will defend a title as an underdog as Becky Lynch puts her WWE Raw Women’s Championship on the line against Shayna Baszler as a +125 wager. And Rhea Ripley is set as -220 chalk to successfully defend her NXT Women’s Championship when she faces Charlotte Flair, who lags as a +155 underdog.
