RAW Rundown: Revenge (9 March)

Elimination Chamber is in the rearview mirror, as the final PPV stop on the road to WrestleMania 36. Now we set our sights on the bigger event of the year as Monday Night RAW heads through the Capital One Arena in Washington, DC.

Here’s what to expect on tonight’s episode.

Tonight’s episode is centred entirely around two people: Randy Orton and Edge. After spending weeks trying to explain why he attacked his former Rated-RKO tag team partner just 24 hours after “The Rated-R Superstar” made his triumphant return to the ring at Royal Rumble, dealing with a (departing) Matt Hardy and finally doing the unthinkable last week, RKOing Edge’s wife Beth Phoenix. Now, Edge is back and is surely going to kick their WrestleMania match into high-gear.

Royal Rumble winner and WWE Championship #1 Contender Drew McIntyre is scheduled to be in action as well. Just a week removed from a huge moment where he punked WWE Champion Brock Lesnar with three Claymore Kicks, “The Scottish Psychopath” looks strong as we get closer to WrestleMania 36. His opponent hasn’t been revealed yet, but the spectre of a vengeful Lesnar lingering will surely be on everyone’s mind as they await to see if “The Beast” will get his revenge on his WrestlemMania challenger.

In what as shocking to no one, Shayna Baszler won the RAW Women’s Championship #1 contender Elimination Chamber match, so now the Shaszler and champion Becky Lynch feud can focus a little more as they head to collide in Tampa Bay.

It all goes down tonight live at 8pm EST on USA Network.
