We get a recap video of last week’s episode.

THE NORTH vs. TJP AND FALLAH BAHH

(Non-Title Match)

Bahh and TJP started off hot with some flurries. The North soon gained control using their experience and double team maneuvers. Page and Alexander continued to wear TJP down until he finally reached his tag partner, Bahh. TJP and Bahh worked together on the hot tag to win the match with a cradle on Alexander.

OPINION:

This was a fun match, continuing this solid feud. The challengers got another victory over the champions, further establishing them as a unit, who is getting ready for their inevitable tag title shot.

***1/2

Tessa Blanchard is warned by Eddie Edwards.

MOOSE vs. PETEY WILLIAMS

Moose uses his power to take an early advantage. Williams hits some ranas, dives, and a slingshot codebreaker but Moose regains the momentum. Looking for the Canadian Destroyer, Petey Williams gets caught by a No Jackhammer Needed, allowing Moose to win.

OPINION:

This was a fun, fresh match, giving Moose a win as he will continue to target notable names of TNA history.

ACEY ROMERO vs. JOEY RYAN

Acey Romero hasn’t appeared on television in a long time, but it looks like they finally have something for him with Larry D. First, he must get through Joey Ryan. Ryan shows more aggression than usual, looking irritated. Ryan looks to hit his trademarks but hesitates, allowing Acey Baby to pick up a big win.

OPINION:

This was more of an angle than match, and shows Joey Ryan going in a new direction, which is certainly interesting. I expect him to kill whatever role he is going towards.

Willie Mack says he can take Johnny Swinger and Disco Inferno. Clearly, he hasn’t watched their matches on IMPACT Plus as The New York Connection. Good times.

Joey Ryan, Katie Forbes, and RVD bond over their hatred for social media fans.

SU YUNG vs. HAVOK

This feud is still going on. They trade shots with the steel chair. Su gets the noose but can’t choke her out. Su gets hung up in the ropes but breaks free after a mist on Havok. Yung then chokes Havok out with the noose and gives her the mandible claw for the victory.

OPINION:

This was a solid match but felt a bit pointless. I am beyond sick of this feud, but I feel like I say that every week.

**1/2

JOHNNY SWINGER AND DISCO INFERNO vs. THE DEANERS

The Deaners start rolling early but Disco turns things around by using a weapon. Cody is grounded for a bit until he gets the tag to Jake, which causes Disco to accidentally hit his partner, allowing The Deaners to win.

OPINION:

This was a fine match, showcasing the reunion of The NYC, which I am actually a fan of.

Tenille Dashwood is returning. I’m not the biggest fan of hers but maybe she will deliver in the upcoming tapings.

Gutcheck Week Two featuring more seemingly unnecessary yelling.

TESSA BLANCHARD vs. TAYA VALKYRIE

IMPACT World Championship

Tessa gets the upper hand early on, but Taya begins working her bread and butter, grounding the champion. Tessa heats up with some flashy moves, including ranas and dives. Taya nails her with a spear. They continue trading until Tessa takes out John E. Bravo and connects with a Buzzsaw DDT to retain.

OPINION:

This was a good match, like their other bouts together. I’m assuming this will be their final match in IMPACT against each other, which I’m okay with.

OVERALL OPINION:

This was a solid show, and easy to watch. I’m still waiting for IMPACT to heat up a little bit more, but they’re still providing a good wrestling show.
