Mr. Nick’s Notes: RAW 09/16/2019

It’s the night after Clash of Champions and there’s a lot of fallout to deal with.

Universal Champion Seth Rollins leads off the show tonight. He doesn’t look happy and I don’t blame him after being attacked by The Fiend at the end of last night.

Seth is interrupted by an episode of the Firefly Fun House. Oh this is going to be a fun fued! Yowie Wowie!

Upside down graphics!! Hilarious.

Braun Strowman is trucking it backstage and he’s ready for a fight.

The new Raw Tag Team Champions Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode and SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Revival head out for a “Tag Team Championship Summit” whatever that means.
Robert Roode with a microphone is…GLORIOUS!
Braun Strowman comes out and takes out all 3 of the 4 men and Robert Roode ducked out of his way twice. Summit over…

Womens Tag Team Champions Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross are sipping coffee backstage. I guess they weren’t invited to the Tag Summit for some reason.

Match #1: 6-man Tag Team Match
The OC v Cedric Alexander & The Viking Raiders

I guess they’re still building AJ v Cedric eventhough they had a match already. I didn’t see it yesterday so maybe there’s still something there. The real win here is the bubbling fued between Gallows & Anderson and The Viking Raiders. Way better than squashing local talent every week.

Match End: AJ Styles pins Cedric Alexander and then stomps him until the Vikings come in to stop him.
Ivar dove from from the top rope to the outside and no one caught him. Woops.
AJ hits the Super Styles Clash on Cedric to hopefully end their feud.

24/7 Champion R-Truth is at the Womans Basketball Hall of Fame with Carmella.

They’re going in a limo ride…and Truth is oblivious. Carmella knows what’s up though…

Match #2: King of the King Final
Baron Corbin v Chad Gable

Honestly I’d be fine with either one of those guys winning at this point for completely different reasons.

This has been one hell of a match! Made even better with the red hot crowd behind it. If Gable doesn’t win this he’s had one hell of a showcase here.

Match End: Baron Corbin pins Chad Gable to become the 2019 King of the Ring!

Ha! They don’t even show Corbin sitting on the throne or putting on the crown. Guess it’s not as prestigious as they lead on after all…what a surprise…

Time for the probably going to be awful gender reveal party for Maria Kanellis. She tells Mike (her husband) that the father is Ricochet so Mike challenges him to a match.

Street Profits with an attitude era style lewd joke before we get to the ring.

Match #3: Singles Match
Mike Kanellis v Ricochet

Defending his own honour here?

Match End: Ricochet wins without much effort. Thankfully this whole thing was quickly over.

Uh oh…Bray Wyatt is going to go “find someone friends”.

We get back from break and Maria is tearing up Mike Kanellis. She’s going to reveal the real father now….

Mike Kanellis tells Rusev that he’s okay with it if he’s the father and tries to get out of there. Rusev stops him and tosses Mike around for a few mins. He looks awesome, but this is terrible.

Match #4: Singles Match
Rusev v Mike Kanellis

Wait, this is a match all of a sudden? Why? Just beat him up.

Match End: Rusev makes Mike tap out.

24/7 Champion R-Truth is at a football stadium with Mayor Jacobs. He meets ref sworn in by Mayor Jacobs. R-Truth tries to run away and runs into the uprights. The Mayor pins him and becomes the new 24/7 Champion! Mayor Glenn Jacobs still got it!

Match #5: Singles Match
Rey Mysterio v Cesaro

This should be interesting…

Mysterio holds his own against the much stronger Cesaro. I love these matches from Mysterio.

Match End: Rey Mysterio pins Cesaro with his standing sunset flip. Cesaro doesn’t look happy at all.

Before we go to break Bray Wyatt adds a picture of Seth Rollins to his “wall of friends” along with Jerry Lawler, Mick Foley, Kurt Angle and Finn Balor.

A video package is shown for the Authors of Pain. They’re not speaking English but what they’re saying is very strong. They call every team in WWE soft. These guys are monsters and I can’t wait for them to show it in the ring again soon.

Match #6: Tag Team Match
Sasha Banks & SmackDown Womens Champion Bayley v Womens Tag Team Champions Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross

Best part of the entrances was Corey Graves calling out Cole for not screaming “boss time” anymore. Cole said he was disgusted by her actions lately. Sasha heel turn is fully intact now.

Bayley becoming bad has been done in a much more subtle way which is so much better.

Alexa Bliss heads to the back because Bayley injured her knee before the break so this is now a 2 on 1 match. Poor Nikki.

Nikki doing her best here but this shouldn’t be close at all anymore.

Match End: Nikki Cross taps out to the Banks Statement. No choice there.
Sasha Banks grabs a chair and heads into the ring.

Becky Lynch hits the ring with her own chair and they sword fight for a bit until Bayley gets into the right with a chair.

Charlotte Flair takes out Bayley with a chair.

Becky takes out Sasha with a chair.

So many chairs!!

After the break Sasha challenges Becky Lynch to a rematch at Hell in a Cell. Yes please!

24/7 Champion Mayor Glenn Jacobs arrives at the arena and is rolled up and pinned by R-Truth who then talks The Mayor out of taking the title back because he’s going to be too busy being “The President”. Kane agrees and they walk into the building together.

Raw Womans Champion Becky Lynch answers Sasha’s challenge. She wants to destroy Sasha inside Hell in a Cell! Yes!!

Match #7: Singles Match
Lacey Evans v Dana Brooke

Woah, haven’t seen Dana Brooke in a long time now. Everyone is showing up before the draft.

Brooke takes it to Evans early which is so awesome to see. She’s comes a long way from NXT.

Evans of course turns it around right after I type that.

Match End: Dana Brooke taps to the worst Sharpshooter I’ve seen in a very long time.

Main Event: Singles Match
Universal Champion Seth Rollins v Raw Tag Team Champion Robert Roode w/Raw Tag Team Champion Dolph Ziggler

Whenever Ziggler wears a blazer and his hair down he reminds me of a kid cosplaying HHH in Evolution.

Robert Roode deserves all the tv time he can get even if this match doesn’t make much sense.

I mean, a great match that leads to whatever The Fiend will do to Seth is always welcome.

Match End: Dolph Ziggler interference awards Seth the DQ win.

The OC run down to join in on the beating of Seth Rollins. Seth gets a Magic Killer and Styles Clash then stomped by everyone involved. Ziggler hits his shitty super kick then the lights go out.

It’s KANE!!

Kane takes out The OC with chokeslams! Then the lights slowly break down…it’s The Fiend! He attacks Kane with the mandible claw! Another friend to add to the wall.

The Fiend then turns his attention to a beaten Seth Rollins as Raw goes off the air. Actually a very twisted version of the Firefly Fun House intro plays for a few minutes instead of the show ending. Creepy…
