Mr. Nick’s Notes: NXT Sept. 4, 2019

NXT Breakout Tournament winner Jordan Myles challenges Adam Cole for the NXT Championship.

New music (finally!) for Breezango! They kick off this week’s NXT with a match.

Match #1: Tag Team Match
Breezango v Matt Martel & Chase Parker

I wonder if this Martel guy is related to the model (checks Google) nope. Sad…oh well, these guys are pretty good!

Match End: Fandango picks up the win in his in ring return after a year off.

Keith Lee and Jordan Myles are shown walking into the building earlier. Talk of confidence is had.

Io Shirai is shown backstage beating up Candice LaRae with a kendo stick. What the?

Cameron Grimes has a promo talking about fighting his way from the bottom to the top. I hope he does it. Gotta lose that hat though.

Match #2: Singles Match
North American Champion Velveteen Dream v Kona Reeves

Kona Reeves is still trying to make this work eh? Keep working kid…

Match End: Velveteen Dream wins. Not a surprised person in the room.

After the match Roderick Strong is shown on the big screen. He set Dreams couch on fire. Deviation on the face of the dream. Poor couch.

Recap of last week where Shayna Baszler was challenged by Rhea Ripley. The first ever NXTUK Womans Champion gets a match against Baszler next week.

Match #3: Singles Match
Taynara v Bianca Belair

Been a few weeks since Bianca has been on the show. Time for one of the best on the show to get back to work.

Both of these women brought it tongiht. What a match!

Match End: Bianca Belair wins but it wasn’t easy.

Lord Steven Regal announces that there will be a triple threat match to crown the number 1 contender for the NXT Womans Championship. Mia Yim v Io Shirai v Bianca Belair.

Main Event: NXT Championship Match
Jordan Myles v Adam Cole(c)

The match of Jordan Myles’ career happens right now.

Adam Cole comes to the ring alone as he usually does for his matches. I’m sure it won’t take long for the rest of the Undisputed Era to get involved.

This has been fantastic! Championship level match that could hold up in the history of NXT Championship matches. Jordan Myles is the real deal!

Match End: Adam Cole retains the NXT Championship with the Last Shot. More importantly he did it by himself. The crowd chants for Jordan Myles as NXT goes off their air.
