Here are the results of the show, presented without commentary. Feel free to share your thoughts with us on the card in the comments below, or on our social media channels both on Facebook and Twitter. Obviously as this contains full results, if you haven’t had a chance to watch the event and don’t want to have it spoiled, don’t go any further…

Matt Riddle defeats Roderick Strong

A hard striking match sees The Original Bro earn a pinfall victory after a couple of standing knee strikes into a Tombstone / Styles Clash type slam.

  • We get a look at a pair of NXT coaches sitting ringside for the event; Shawn Michaels and newest coach Jesse James as they mug for the camera and compare HBK’s two rings to Road Dogg’s lone ring.

The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) win NXT Tag Team Championships

With Wesley Blake and Steve Cutler of The Forgotten Sons alone and ready to climb the ladder to claim the vacant titles, Angelo Dawkins takes out Blake with a spear and Montez Ford leaps from the corner to the top of the ladder to punch out Cutler and take the titles in the Street Profit’s first NXT TakeOver appearance.

Velveteen Dream defeats Tyler Breeze to retain NXT North American Championship

Tyler Breeze lands his Beauty Shot kick, but Dream rolls to the outside to get some distance and not end up pinned. As Breeze tries to plead with the referee to not count out his opponent, Dream swings the North American title at a distracted Breeze but misses. In the distraction after that, Dream hits Breeze with the Dream Valley Driver and then the Purple Rainmaker elbow drop to get the pin.

  • Post-match, Dream revels in his victory and before he can exit the ring, Breeze gets one more selfie with the NA champ, this time without a post-selfie attack.
  • We see a vignette for one “Damien Priest” (the artist formerly known as Punishment Martinez) lurking around a random night club scene.

Shayna Baszler submits Io Sharai defeats to retain NXT Women’s Championship

Baszler weathers a late flurry of offense to reverse a cradle pin attempt into a kubota clutch sleeper to force a tap out by Sharai.

  • After the match, Sharai “snaps” as she wears out a celebrating Baszler with a kendo stick followed by a moonsault, and then with the help of Candice LeRay at ringside, gets a steel chair and hits another top rope moonsault with the chair crashing between them with chants of “you deserve it” from the fans in attendance.
  • NXTUK TakeOver “Cardiff” is announced to take place on August 21.

  • Meanwhile Stephanie McMahon is ringside along with other fans and a certain All Elite dentist who has a rooting interest in the upcoming Adam Cole match….

Adam Cole defeats Johnny Gargano to win NXT Heavyweight Championship

Gargano puts up a helluva fight and survives a series of moves that would have ended a regular match, but Cole becomes the 18th NXT Heavyweight champion as he hits the Panama Sunrise followed by a Last Shot knee to win the title clean, without the help of his Undisputed Era mates.
