This year's Survivor Series pay-per-view will feature competitors from Raw fight against members of the SmackDown roster. Just about every champion from both brands will face each other in Champion vs. Champion matches, and the traditional 5-on-5 elimination matches will be featured on Survivor Series as well. It has just been announced that the 205 Live brand will be represented during the pay-per-view this year too. New Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy will defend his title against Mustafa Ali. Murphy and Ali have already had some incredible matches together over the past few months, but with a title now being on the line, expect these two cruiserweights to come at each other with more viciousness than ever before.

WWE has also announced a brand new championship match for the upcoming NXT Takeover: WarGames event. Fans may recall that Shayna Baszler was able to defeat Kairi Sane to win back the NXT Women's Championship during WWE's Evolution pay-per-view a few weeks ago. During this week's episode of NXT, it was announced that Sane has been granted a rematch for the title. She and Shayna Baszler will now face each other for the women's title at NXT Takeover: WarGames in a 2-out-of-3 falls match. Since Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir helped Baszler win at Evolution, it certainly seems possible that the Horsewomen will get themselves involved in the NXT Women's Championship match once again next Saturday.

As reported earlier in the week, Zelina Vega missed out on this week's SmackDown show after she had been showing signs of a concussion-related injury. PWInsider has now revealed that Vega was training at the WWE Performance Center yesterday, and she showed no serious issues throughout the day, which could indicate that she will be back in the ring and on television within a few days. Meanwhile, it was also mentioned that Raw Superstar Curt Hawkins would be returning from a hernia injury very soon. During a recent live event in Leeds, Hawkins made his return to the ring and lost to Zack Ryder. Curt is now back in action, but his infamous losing streak has now already gone up from 0-223 to 0-226.
