2 WCW Events Returning? Rusev Day Now Official, Kaitlyn Training

WWE briefly came around on the idea of bringing back concepts originally created by WCW during the fall of last year. The WarGames match returned for one night as part of an NXT Takeover event, and the Starrcade show was also resurrected for a live event that was not broadcasted. WWE is reportedly still considering bringing a few WCW pay-per-views back to life as Barn Burner's Brad Shepard just reported that the company is considering bringing back the Starrcade event or Halloween Havoc this year. The news comes right after WWE moved the TLC pay-per-view to December, leaving a spot open for an additional pay-per-view to take place during October, but WWE has not made a final decision on the matter at the moment.

Rusev and Aiden English have taken Smackdown by storm ever since the launch of the popular "Rusev Day" catchphrase last year. Rusev's popularity has not gone unnoticed as he will be receiving a shot at the WWE Championship when he takes on AJ Styles at Extreme Rules this Sunday night, but the Mayor of Knox County, Tennessee just made Rusev Day official earlier this week. Rusev recently stopped by Knox County to show his support for WWE Superstar and Republican nominee Glenn "Kane" Jacobs, and it was noted that current Mayor, Tim Burchett, has declared July 12th as Rusev Day in the area. With all of the good luck that Rusev has had lately, perhaps he can finish off the week by becoming a world champion during Extreme Rules.

It’s official! Proclaiming #RusevDay in Knox County.

As reported earlier this week, former WWE Superstar Kaitlyn will be returning to the company this August when she competes in the second Mae Young Classic tournament. Kaitlyn announced her return to the ring earlier this year, and she has had her sights set on a WWE return ever since. Since all eyes will be on the former Divas Champion during the 32-woman tournament, Kaitlyn has tweeted out some photos of her training for her televised in-ring comeback. The tournament will officially mark Kaitlyn's first matches in a WWE ring in over four years. Kaitlyn has noted that she has gained a lot of experience since leaving WWE, so it will be interesting to see what she is capable of once she returns to WWE later this summer.
