As is usually the case, Triple H took part in a media conference call prior to the NXT Takeover: Chicago event that will be taking place this Saturday night. A few interesting bits of of information were revealed during the call, including the fact that NXT Superstar Ricochet recently suffered a minor injury. Triple H claimed that Ricochet "tweaked" himself during a show in Paris, and that caused the company to pull him from their next show in Belgium as a result. The decision was just made as a safety precaution since Ricochet will be facing The Velveteen Dream this weekend. Triple H noted that Ricochet is not injured and he will definitely still be competing at NXT Takeover this Saturday night.

The Authors of Pain wreaked havoc right out of the gate upon debuting on NXT television. Rezar and Akam also had what no other tag team in NXT could claim that they had: the guidance of WWE Hall of Famer Paul Ellering. Ellering served as a manager for The Authors of Pain during most of their NXT run, but Akam and Rezar have been competing without Ellering ever since they were promoted to the main roster earlier this year. During the recent NXT conference call, Triple H said that he did not make the decision to have Ellering and The Authors of Pain part ways. Ellering is still working for NXT and could be paired with a different superstar in the future, but Triple H has not found a suitable person for Ellering to manage just yet.

It was reported earlier this week that WWE may be looking to start building a second Performance Center. Raw's Bobby Roode claimed that the company was looking to build a larger Performance Center than the current one in Orlando at some point in the near future. When asked about a possible new facility during a recent NXT media conference call, Triple H noted that the company does not plan on building a new Performance Center at the moment. Triple H did admit that the company has explored the option of building a new facility and he has thought about the idea in his mind, but no actual work on building and planning a new Performance Center has taken place.
