WWE 205 Live Results (04/10): Drew Gulak vs Mark Andrews

The show opens up with a video package of Cedric Alexander's Cruiserweight Title win from last Sunday night's WrestleMania 34.
Vic Joseph introduces us to Percy Watson. He will be a new addition to the commentary team going forward. Vic Joseph and Percy Watson welcomes us to tonight's show. Joseph says that Nigel McGuinness will be away for the next two weeks but he will be back after that. Commentary announces that later tonight it will be Mark Andrews facing Drew Gulak but to start the night off it will be Kalisto taking on Akira Tozawa.
Kalisto vs. Akira Tozawa: Bit of a stalemate between both wrestlers to start things off. Tozawa starts his "Ah!" chants early on. Tozawa finally gets Kalisto grounded and he stomps away at Kalisto in the corner. Kalisto tries to fire back, but is put down with a hard punch. Kalisto gets going as he hits a springboard attack followed by a hurricanrana to send Tozawa's head to the mat. Tozawa recovers and heads up to the top rope. Kalisto stops him, hits a headbutt and lands a spanish fly. He bounced off the rope though instead of doing the usual jump. Kalisto is really getting in some offense now. Kalisto charges in, but Tozawa monkey flips him into the turnbuckles. Tozawa heads up to the top rope. Kalisto rolls out to the floor and Tozawa hits him with a baseball slide followed by a suicide dive and a cannonball off the apron. Tozawa up again to the top for a cannonball senton, but Kalisto knees him. Kalisto with multiple pin attempts, but all of them are two counts. Kalisto hits a salida del sol for the 1-2-3. Winner: Kalisto
It is announced that next week it will be Gran Metalik & Lince Dorado vs. Hideo Itami & Akira Tozawa in a Tornado Tag Team Match.
We head backstage to the locker room are where we see Tony Nese talking with Mark Andrews. He says that Gulak was his friend, but he’s turned into a sadistic monster and if anyone should get vengeance, it should be him. He then tells Andrews to go out there and kick Drew's ass.
Drew Gulak makes his way down to the ring and grabs the mic. Gulak asks if the crowd wants him to do a PowerPoint Presentation. He then says that now isn't the time and the crowd boos. Gulak then talks trash about Andrews a bit.
Drew Gulak vs. Mark Andrews: Andrews with multiple takedowns on Gulak early on and Gulak heads out to the floor to collect himself for a moment. Gulak is back in the ring and Andrews kicks away at Gulak. Gulak tries for a dragon sleeper, but it gets countered and Andrews goes for a pin, but he only gets a two count. Andrews goes on the apron and flips in and he gets caught on Gulak's shoulders, but he turns it into a bulldog. Both men are on the apron now. Andrews gets shoved off the apron and down to the floor. Back in the ring, Gulak drops Andrews and goes for a cover, but only a two count. Gulak works on Andrews' shoulder as he taunts his opponent along the way. Gulak with a smack to the back of Andrews' head and chokes him with his foot. Andrews springboards into the ring and hits a crossbody followed by a standing shooting star and goes for a cover, but only a two count. Gulak goes for another cover, but doesn't get the win. Gulak and Andrews begin swinging wildly away at each other. Andrews attempts a tornado DDT, but it doesn't hit and he lands a stundog millionaire. Andrews goes up to the top rope, but Gulak rolls away. Andrews gets thrown into the turnbuckle. Gulak locks in a dragon sleeper and Andrews taps. Winner: Drew Gulak
After the Match, Gulak attacks Andrews again and locks in the dragon sleeper. Tony Nese heads out to the ring and makes the safe as he tees off on Gulak. Gulak is out on the floor and Nese hits a fosbury flop. Nese yells "Come on, Gulak!" to Gulak as he backs up the ramp.
We head backstage where we see that 205 Live General Manager Drake Maverick is speaking to someone off camera and tells them that he has approved their request to tag next week, but he has some reservations after what happened last time. The camera pans out and we see that 205 Live General Manager Drake Maverick is speaking to Gentleman Jack Gallagher and The Brian Kendrick. Gentleman Jack says that seeking a vendetta against Hideo Itami for injuring Kendrick would be beneath them. Kendrick then says that he is just happy to be back, and that his issues with Hideo are water under the bridge. Drake Maverick seems suspicious.
205 Live General Manager Drake Maverick makes his way down to the ring. Maverick talks about how Alexander and Ali tore the house down at WrestleMania 34 and introduces the new champion. Alexander makes his way down to the ring and takes the mic. The crowd chants "You deserve it!" to Alexander. Alexander thanks the fans for all of their support. Ali makes his way down to the ring and gets a "Mustafa" chant from the crowd. Ali says that Alexander doesn't just deserve it, he earned it. The crowd chants "one more match." Ali reminds Alexander that he is in the line of guys in the back that wants a crack at the title. Buddy Murphy's music hits and the three men in the ring look to the stage. Murphy comes from the crowd and drops Alexander. Maverick yells at Murphy as Murphy heads to the back. 205 Live goes off the air.
