NJPW Owner Wants To Work With The WWE In The Future
Monday, January 8, 2018
NJPW Owner Takaaki Kidani recently spoke to Tokyo Sports about some future goals he has with NJPW for 2018 and beyond. Kidani said that he hopes to continue filling out the Tokyo Dome and eventually filling the seats all throughout the outfield. He adds to do that he will need more young Japanese stars and a heavyweight star in his twenties.
Regarding a rising fan base and sales in 2018, Kidani said that NJPW will have more money to pay wrestlers and that they are looking to continue what they recently did which is to bring in wrestlers who has had a relationship with WWE and until they say let's get along. Clearly, bringing in Chris Jericho had a positive impact on the company and overseas exposure as NJPW has already lined him up to face Tetsuya Naito after he has already faced Kenny Omega at Wrestle Kingdom 12.
