Commissioner for 205 Live? Sting & Hogan, Kenny King on NXT
Saturday, January 6, 2018
205 Live has been struggling on the WWE Network for quite some time now. The show routinely receives some of the lowest ratings on the WWE Network each week, and the company recently had to cancel one of the upcoming live events that had been scheduled for the brand. WWE has been attempting to repair the cruiserweight division lately by adding some new stars, but an interesting tweet from the Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer indicated that WWE could be considering adding a possible Commissioner to 205 Live very soon. While the idea has definitely been mentioned, Meltzer noted that “nothing serious has taken place” just yet.
It was reported not too long ago that Sting and Hulk Hogan were set to reunite for the first time in a number of years. The two worked together for a while and had memorable feuds in promotions such as WCW and TNA Wrestling, but both men have left the professional wrestling spotlight recently. However, the planned reunion for these two former rivals is still set to take place very soon. Both men will be partaking in the festivities at the Ace Comic Con in Phoenix, Arizona at Gila River. Fans will get the chance to meet and get a photo with "The Icon" and "The Hulkster" this Monday on January 15th at the convention in Arizona.
When he's not making appearances on reality television, Kenny King is often competing in the ring across numerous promotions. Although he once competed on WWE's Tough Enough reality series, King has not returned to the company ever since. King was recently interviewed by Solo Wrestling, and when he was asked about a possible return to WWE, he revealed that he actually had discussions about going to NXT in December 2016. Since he has joint custody of his daughter, King decided to continue appearing for Ring of Honor. King went on to add, "WWE is everybody’s goal when they start, but I think the goal of every professional wrestler is to be able to pay your own bills and work as a wrestler no matter what company you work with”.
