Longtime wrestling fans will be saddened to learn that legendary music composer for WWE Jim Johnston has reportedly been released from the company after over thirty years of employment. ThemeTitan, a social media account dedicated to reporting wrestling music news, reported yesterday that Johnston has been released and the departure was apparently not mutual. Johnston has composed music for WWE, WWE Studios, the XFL, and the WBF in the past, but his title of top music producer in the company was given to CFO$ in 2014. WWE still has yet to confirm Johnston's departure at this moment in time, we'll update this story as more news continues to unfold.

The Hall of Fame class for the Wrestling Observer has officially been announced. Current WWE Champion AJ Styles will be joining the Hall of Fame this year. Legendary New Japan Pro Wrestling star Minoru Suzuki will also be joining the class. Tag team Ben and Mike Sharpe will be taking their place in the Hall of Fame this year as well. Former WCCW star Mark Lewin is being welcomed into the hall this year after having an impressive 45-year career in the pro wrestling business. Finally, former one of WWWF's biggest stars is joining the class, that being former World Heavyweight Champion, Intercontinental Champion, and Tag Team Champion Pedro Morales.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson recently sat down with Kevin McCarthy to discuss his upcoming film Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, and in the interview, he was delighted to share a story of his younger self meeting Hulk Hogan. During a show at Madison Square Garden, Johnson managed to catch Hulk Hogan's headband. His father, Rocky Johnson, allowed him to meet "The Hulkster" backstage, who informed The Rock that he needed the headband back since it was his last one. Later on though, Hogan sent Johnson an autographed headband. The Rock was noticeably giddy when it came to telling the story. Johnson later grew up to join WWE, and he even worked a match against Hulk Hogan at Wrestlemania X8 in 2002.
