Possible Roman Reigns Spoiler, Jimmy Jacobs' New Role, Paige News
Monday, November 06, 2017
WWE has reportedly been holding off the inevitable angle featuring Raw superstars getting revenge on the Smackdown roster for attacking them several weeks ago until Roman Reigns returns from his illness. There is some doubt that he will even be healthy enough to return by the time that the Survivor Series pay-per-view comes around. PWInsider reported today that Roman Reigns does not appear to be ready to come back for the show, and the company does not want to rush his return. Bray Wyatt and Bo Dallas, who both suffered the same illness at the same time as Reigns, have since been cleared to return. The report also mentions that the plan is to have Jason Jordan replace Reigns, thus allowing him to team up with his storyline father Kurt Angle for the first time.
Plenty of surprises took place during last night's Bound for Glory event, but the sudden arrival of Jimmy Jacobs in Impact Wrestling was one of the most shocking debuts at the pay-per-view. Jacobs appeared at the announcer's booth for a bit before leaving without making his intentions clear. While his on-air role has yet to be determined, PWInsider claims that Jacobs was backstage working as a producer for the event, and it appears as though he will continue to work as a producer throughout the remainder of the Impact tapings in Canada this week. Jacobs was previously a writer for WWE, but he was released from the company due to behavior deemed "unprofessional."
Alberto El Patron recently claimed that Paige was only "days away" from returning to WWE. Paige recently sent out a tweet claiming that she was on a flight. PWInsider reports that she was not backstage with Patron at the Bound for Glory event last night, so this could imply that the former Diva's Champion will be returning this week. Paige has reportedly been training for a comeback at the Performance Center for weeks now, and it just so happens that Raw and Smackdown are taking place in Paige's home country of the United Kingdom this week. When Paige does return, she is still expected to join the Smackdown roster.
