WWE announced the releases of Emma, Darren Young, and Summer Rae earlier in the week, and some fans have worried that some other wrestlers in the company, such as Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson, are also on their way out. The two erased all mentions of being a "WWE Superstar" from their social media accounts, and Dave Meltzer also echoed similar thoughts of uncertainty for the team's future on Wrestling Observer Radio. Fortunately, claims that the two are not leaving the company at all, and in fact, they are actually having a ton of fun in WWE right now. PWInsider also reported that the two are still with WWE, and Anderson commented on the rumors with the following tweets:

It was revealed during Raw this week that Kurt Angle will be returning to the ring once again as the captain for Team Raw at Survivor Series as they do battle against the members of the Smackdown roster. Angle later revealed that Braun Strowman, who returned at the end of Raw, will be joining his team. On last night's Smackdown, several members of the blue brand's team were revealed through a series of qualifying matches. First and foremost, Smackdown Commissioner Shane McMahon revealed during Tuesday's show that he himself will be leading his show's team as the captain. More members of Shane's team were revealed during the show.

In addition to Shane McMahon, most of the other participants for the Smackdown team were determined during last night's show. Randy Orton, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Bobby Roode all won matches on the show that allowed them to gain a spot in the 5-on-5 elimination match between the two competing shows at Survivor Series. There is currently one spot remaining on the Smackdown team, and a match between Rusev and AJ Styles will be contested next week with the winner earning his way into the match. While the Smackdown team is almost good to go for the Survivor Series pay-per-view this month, the Raw team still has several open slots available, and those spots will likely be filled in the upcoming weeks.

Shane is not the GM, he is the Commissioner of Smackdown. Daniel Bryan is the GM.
