Mattel Reveals Several New WWE Action Figures and Toys - Part 2
Saturday, October 7, 2017
Even more new action figures and toys were revealed by Mattel and Ringside Collectibles earlier in the week. New basics, Elites, and Battle Packs of everyone's favorite WWE Superstars were recently shown off, but the toy company still has plenty of brand new products to display for fans. For example, we have seen the WWE Superstars be transformed into zombies and mutants in the past, but now they have become monsters! The set includes Braun Strowman as a giant Frankenstein monster, Asuka being made as a spirit who has risen from the grave, Roman Reigns as a werewolf, Chris Jericho as a mummy, The Undertaker as a winged demon, and Jake Roberts, appropriately, wrapped in snakes.
Mattel got fans talking last year when they decided to create their very own version of the old Hasbro-style WWF action figures. The nostalgic figure line has been a bit hit for them so far, so a boatload of new figures were revealed. In fact, nearly every top star on the main roster has now received their very own "retro" figure. Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, Goldberg, AJ Styles, Daniel Bryan, Finn Balor, Enzo Amore, Shinsuke Nakamura, The New Day, Bray Wyatt, an old school Undertaker, Chris Jericho, Sami Zayn, Ric Flair, and a Wolfpac version of Sting are all going to be released in the upcoming months. Most of these figures will likely be released before the holiday season this year.
Aside from new action figures, a new wearable mask replicated from Triple H's traditional skull mask is also going to be coming out eventually. A mask based on Finn Balor's latest "Demon" getup is also coming out later this year, along with a replica mask based on Kane's classic mask from the "Attitude Era." A new set of children's replica titles will also be released soon, including the WWE Championship, the Raw Tag Team Championships, and a new United Kingdom Championship, the latter of which will be sold exclusively on Ringside Collectibles. Another neat accessory coming out is a Money in the Bank briefcase that can hold up to four action figures.
No word on when these sets are set to be released, but they will likely be available in stores by late 2017/early 2018.
