Backstage News on The Falls Count Anywhere Match at HIAC
Friday, October 6, 2017
On a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Live, it was discussed that the reason Shane McMahon added the stipulation of falls count anywhere into his Hell in a Cell Match against Kevin Owens at this Sunday's Hell in a Cell PPV is because Shane has plans to do something crazy in the match. It was also discussed that shifting the action outside the ring is a way for Shane to hide some of his deficiencies as a wrestler and it also gives him multiple avenues to do ridiculous bumps.
It was also noted that by adding the falls count anywhere stipulation, it gives WWE the chance to pre-tape some of the segments before the match and then air it during the match. Not only will this allow the company a certain degree of planning that they couldn't do in a live setting, but it also presents an opportunity to use a stunt double should the situation require it and should common sense prevail.
