Women's Tag Division? Hype Bros to Split at HIAC? Street Profits
Thursday, October 5, 2017
The women's division in WWE has grown exponentially from where it was just a few years ago. Gone are the days of WWE 'divas,' and now, the female talent are allowed to show what they are really capable of in the ring. While reporting on a Q&A with Lita from Paris, Ringside News posted that Lita claimed that WWE is actually considering creating a tag team division for the women in the company. She said, “There has been talks of tag titles for the Women’s Division and I think that I love that they first introduced the MITB briefcase, that’s been a long time coming and that adds an element of surprise within the title picture.” Lita also expressed her desire to see a women's Royal Rumble match as well.
Zack Ryder and Mojo Rawley have been teaming up together for years now, and while they have never been able to win tag team championship gold, the pair has come close in the past. However, dissension within the team has actually been teased for several weeks now, and it appears that the two may be going their separate ways soon enough. A new report from Cageside Seats says that WWE is going to be pulling the trigger on the team's breakup at this Sunday's Hell in a Cell pay-per-view, likely after losing their planned pre-show match against Shelton Benjamin and Chad Gable. The Hype Bros will join American Alpha, #DIY, Golden Truth, and Enzo and Cass on the long list of teams that have split up this year.
Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford debuted on NXT as The Street Profits only a few months ago. Despite this, the duo has already managed to become one of the most beloved acts by the Full Sail crowd. After last night's NXT television tapings concluded, the team continued their relationship with the fans by addressing them outside of the university. Ford stated, “with everything that is happening in the world today, we are so glad to have Full Sail here.” along with “you guys could have been anywhere else in the world tonight, but you chose to be right here at Full Sail with Street Profits!” Video of the speech can be seen in the tweet posted below.
