Why Sane Won MYC, Undetaker at Survivor Series, Stephanie's Book
Thursday, September 14, 2017
After multiple matches spanning numerous shows, we all saw Kairi Sane take on Shayna Baszler to determine the first ever winner for the Mae Young Classic tournament. Sane managed to defeat Baszler after hitting the Insane Elbow Drop. Sportskeeda now reports that Baszler likely would've won the tournament in order to continue the angle between the Four Horsewomen of MMA and the Four Horsewomen of WWE, but Kairi won instead because she is signed into long-term deal with the company. Additionally, Vince McMahon is not teasing the match anymore until the women are all ready for it. The report also mentions that a Fatal 4-Way match for the NXT Women's Championship is being planned. The company was ready to involve Kairi in the match, and not Baszler, who isn't signed to any deal with the them at the moment.
It seems that The Undertaker could be returning to WWE very soon for another match. Despite the fact that he seemingly retired at Wrestlemania this year, he has apparently been training for a match against John Cena. WWE.com has even posted a list of superstars that will be featured on the Survivor Series show, and John Cena is included in the lineup. The fact that John Cena called out "The Phenom" a while back during a promo, and because the video package for Cena's match against Roman Reigns at No Mercy ends with a very similarly sounding "gong" noise that The Undertaker uses in his entrance theme, it does seem increasingly more likely that The Undertaker may get involved in the No Mercy match.
A long time ago, Stephanie McMahon announced her intention to publish her own memoir. The book was originally scheduled to be released last October. Amazon.com later listed her book on their website with a release date in 2020. Stephanie later announced that her book was actually going to be coming out in 2017. However, it appears that this may no longer be the case. When asked about her book by a fan, Stephanie McMahon revealed that her memoir has officially been placed "on hold." She did not give out too many details beyond that though, and it seems like her book could be released at some other time in the future.
