Jim Ross Speaks About Dates He's Working For The WWE
Thursday, July 27, 2017
WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross was recently a guest on the Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcastto discuss various topics. During the interview, he noted that he is working 40 dates a year for the WWE, and he is happy with the schedule they agreed upon.
He added that he enjoys staying busy since his wife Jan passed away shortly before WrestleMania 33.
When asked about his relationship with New Japan Pro Wrestling, Ross cleared the air on his status with the company. Here is what he had to say (h/t WrestleZone):
“It’s quite simple. I never worked for New Japan. I don’t work for New Japan. I don’t get paid by New Japan. I do voiceovers of their matches that they record in Japan that AXS TV edits, and airs on their network. And [AXS] pay me for my services.”
