Thursday, July 20, 2017
The rumored new set of dolls based on the women of WWE have officially been announced by Matte. The toy company announced the new line of dolls during a presentation at the San Diego Comic Con. As Renee Young, The Bella Twins, Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, Bayley and Sasha Banks all watched on with tons of enthusiastic WWE fans, the Barbie-esque dolls were revealed in great detail to those in attendance. Mattel has become one of the leading toy industries on the entire planet thanks to their Barbie doll lines. You'd think that the company would've have capitalized on something like this much sooner. Nevertheless, the next step in the Women's Evolution in WWE has been announced.
We now know that one line of dolls will include a fashion-themed set that includes multiple different outfits for either your Sasha Banks, Natalya, Brie Bella, or Nikki Bella dolls to try on. There will also be another traditional line of dolls made very similar to the Barbie line, these include Eva Marie, Charlotte Flair, Alicia Fox, and Becky Lynch. A Fashion Doll 5-pack is also set to be released later on this year with The Bella Twins, Natalya, Becky Lynch, and Sasha Banks included in it. Of course, a backstage and entrance stage playset will be released with multiple accessories for all of the dolls to inhabit. A Bayley and Naomi doll have also been confirmed to come out next spring.
All of these are going to be coming out very soon, and fans can already purchase a set of Sasha Banks and Charlotte dolls at the convention right now. Mattel is going all in on this new collection of dolls. Stephanie McMahon commented on the announcement by stating: “The launch of the first-ever WWE girls’ product line is a significant moment in the evolution of not only our female Superstars, but our entire company,” along with, “We are honored to partner with Mattel to provide kids with another way to connect with our incredible female performers who inspire confidence and strength.” The dolls will be available for pre-order on ToysRUs.com on July 24th, and they will be released in Toys R Us stores on September 1st. The line is being centered for little girls, but don't let that stop you from getting your fashion on, fellas.
