Series number 76 of Mattel's WWE action figures has been revealed at last. We have heard of these figures come out for a while now. This is a continuation of the basic lineup for WWE action figures, and these figures are standard collectibles that do not include any of the selling points that Elite figures do. These include items such as accessories, points of articulation, and the detail is not as emphasized for these particular action figures as well. The basic lineup does always provide some great new figures of your favorite WWE superstars from both the past and the present anyway though. So let's take a look at some of the basics.

We now know the lineup of Series #76 which was revealed by Ringside Collectibles and Mattel earlier in the week. The new series will include an updated figure of The Rock (presumably from 2011-onwards), and a new figure of the former's most recent rival, John Cena, is also planned for the new series. Then we have a few other stars such as Dolph Ziggler, Sami Zayn, and AJ Styles all joining the series. AJ Styles' action figures always seem to sell out instantaneously, so it may be wise to include him once again. The throwback figure for this series is that of the "Macho King" Randy Savage that will be based off of his run from after Savage adopted the king moniker in 1989. The series is up for pre-order right now on RingsideCollectibles.com

We also have news on the upcoming "Main Event" ring that will be coming out later this year. The wrestling ring playset includes real working LED lights, it has turnbuckles, ring ropes, and a ring canvas that can be added to the ring, ring steps, a breakable announce table, and chairs for the announcer to sit in. The ring is ENORMOUS as it is made to scale for typical Mattel action figures, and it includes interchangeable ring skirts and ropes as well. Best of all, the playset comes with the first ever Bill Goldberg action figure made by Mattel! Goldberg is made as an Elite figure and he is based off of his latest run with the company. The set is being released in September for around $99-$100.
