Scott Hall

You can now own the newest Elite series WWE action figures from Mattel. This is Elite Series #51 and it includes three current roster members and three "Flashback" figures of past superstars! Let's take a look at the lineup.

Sami Zayn received his first Elite figure back in series #40 when he was still with NXT, and now he has returned eleven series later with an updated main roster figure. This edition of Sami Zayn comes with his famous beret and one of his t-shirts that can be worn by the figurine. The tights have the usual red and black design, but with new designs such as the "Let's Go!" logo on one side, the Arabic lettering on the front, and so on. He's Helluva Kicking his way into your collection now, but I'm afraid that each purchase comes with a mandatory Kevin Owens figure. Alright, I made up that last part... for now.

You know who he is, but you don't know why he's here. You've seen him when he was Cuban, but "The Bad Guy" has invaded the latest set of Elite figures as himself this time around. Yes, Scott Hall is here with new trunks, boots, and gear designed with red paint dripping down. It's based off of his arrival in WCW, and it has a brand new long-awaited headsculpt with his hair in a ponytail. He also has an NWO t-shirt, an "Outsiders" entrance vest, sunglasses, and a can of spray paint just like in the old days. It's cliche at this point, but I'll say it anyway: this figure is just too sweeeeeeeeeeeeet!

Woof! Woof! Or whatever. The BIG DAWG is back with a brand new confident headsculpt, and new gear. Roman Reigns comes with a new vest with blue trim that can be removed. Underneath is his entire tattoo and ripped physique that Vince McMahon... actually keeps hidden for the most part. Regardless, Roman also comes with the United States Championship title that he held last year after coming back from a suspension. Forgot all about that didn't ya? Roman will continue to be one of Mattel's biggest sellers thanks to action figures such as this one.

Mick Foley's return as a Mattel figure as Cactus Jack in Elite 48 was one of the most sough-after action figures they have made all year. Naturally, his popularity has been further exploited as he returns to this lineup under his Mankind gimmick. Strangely enough, this appears to be a re-release of the Mankind figure that was exclusive to Amazon.com a few years ago. This is based off of Mankind's early look: decked out in brown, removable mask, and taped up fingers one on hand to help him deliver the Mandible Claw to his opponents. The figure even comes with removable bits of it's own hair! That's two 'faces of Foley' down for Mattel, only one to go now!

In one of Mattel's more obscure "Flashback" choices, The Berzerker makes his Mattel figure debut in this series. It seems odd, especially since The Berzerker (AKA John Nord) is currently suing WWE over concussion-related issues. It's clear to see why Mattel does these 'gimmick' wrestlers every now and then though: they get really creative with them. This is no exception as the Berzker has white furry boots, a blue tunic instead of brown, a necklace, a viking helmet, A SWORD, and a shield to protect himself. His headsculpt even sees him doing the wacky Berzerker expression with his tongue sticking out to the side. Huss! Huss!

If there's one thing that AJ Styles has got all wrong, it's his claim that people "don't want none". His debut Elite figure in Elite Series #47 was a hot commodity, and his second figure has already been released. Styles returns with a new screaming headsculpt, 'P1' elbow pads, and black tights with his various logos in grey. His accessory is a unique one for Mattel. He comes with his entrance jacket, but it can be worn in two different variations. It can be worn with a hood placed over AJ's head, or it can be detached in favor of having a normal entrance jacket. Hopefully AJ's next figure can create the 'P1' logo with his gloves.

That's all for this series! By the way. every figure in this series comes with a display stand and diorama. Upon completion, the diorama creates the boiler room that Mick Foley made famous during his run as Mankind. Elite 52 doesn't appear to be coming out until September, but we'll keep you updated on all future action figure releases!

The entire series is available to order now. You may view or order any of these action figures here: http://www.ringsidecollectibles.com/mattel-toy-wrestling-action-figures-wwe-elite-51.html
