Tommaso Ciampa Set To Wrestle At NXT Takeover After All

Tommaso Ciampa was previously thought to be injured at a live show in Highland Heights, Kentucky and because of this injury, the match at NXT Takeover for the NXT Tag Team Championships was up in the air.  His leg appeared to be seriously hurt due to a dive he made at Sanity on the apron of the ring.

Today, in a WWE conference call this morning, Paul Levesque, aka Triple H, announced that Ciampa is set to wrestle for the NXT Tag Team Championships in Chicago. He said that Ciampa was feeling well today and that he had suffered a sprained ankle.

The ladder match scheduled between current NXT Tag Team Champions Authors of Pain and DIY is still happening as of right now. However, there is still a chance that it could be canceled if medical personnel deem appropriate. They still must clear Ciampa for the match.

Triple H hopes that this will not be a missed opportunity for DIY. The pair is really looking forward to wrestling in Chicago. Besides, they don't have another opponent if Ciampa cannot compete.
