Luke Harper Speaks About WWE Character's New Direction
Tuesday, April 18, 2017
Luke Harper talked about the departure of his WWE persona from a member of the Wyatt Family to a singles competitor in an interview with the Louisville Journal-Courier to promote SmackDown Live tonight from the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Kentucky.
Harper will be part of the main event tonight, squaring off in the WWE Championship No. 1 Contenders Match against Jinder Mahal, Erick Rowan, Sami Zayn, Dolph Ziggler and Mojo Rawley.
Harper told the Louisville Journal-Courier that he faces new challenges as his character evolves.
"That’s the fun and stressful and terrifying part about this time of my career; who knows where it goes? It could go way up or way down and it’s kind of up to me to decide where it goes," Harper said. "I’m just trying to make myself the best professional wrestler that I can and I know that sounds cliche, but that’s kind of the point, is to do the best you can and it’s on them to use that."
