News On Why WWE Chose New Orleans For WrestleMania 34
Wednesday, January 11, 2017
WWE made the announcement this week that they would be heading back over to New Orleans for WrestleMania 34, just four years after WrestleMania 30 invaded the Louisiana-based city.
There were more than 11 other cities that were in contention to host the event, but it seems that New Orleans pitch won it for them. WWE actually made the official decision a few weeks ago, but only made the public announcement this week.
It is reported that New Orleans will be celebrating their 300th year this year and WWE wanted to be a part of the celebrations. The city said that WrestleMania will be at the centre of the celebrations for the city and it is thought that is is why they were chosen.
There were many options for WWE when it came to choosing a place for WrestleMania next year, and many fans are disappointed that WWE have gone back to New Orleans for the second time in four years, but at least there is a legitimate reason and it can only add to the atmosphere of the biggest event of the year.
