The Reason Why the WWE Ditched the King of the Ring PPV

During a recent Q&A session on his 'Something to Wrestler With' podcast, Bruce Prichard revealed the real reason as to why the WWE decided to drop the King of the Ring PPV event.

According to Prichard, Vince McMahon was never a fan of the concept as it was the company's lowest grossing PPV event.

"The pay-per-view events during the summer didn't do all that well, and King of the Ring wasn't a large grossing pay-per-view, so Vince wasn't really excited about it, and decided to change it up."
